  2. Affirmations - Repeating positive affirmations each day can train your brain to think more positively. Simple phrases like “I am capable”, or “I welcome happiness into my life”, can make a huge difference over time.  It can be helpful to have some affirmations around your house, to remind you to say them often.
  3. Mindfulness and Meditation - Taking a few minutes each day to meditate, or practice mindfulness, helps clear your mind of negativity.  By focusing on the present moment, you can let go of worries, and approach life with more peace.
  4. Positive Self-Talk - Catch yourself when negative thoughts start creeping in, and gently replace them with encouraging words.  Instead of thinking, “I can’t do this,” try, “I’ll give it my best shot.”  The more you do this, the better it works.  You can ‘train’ your brain, using neuroplasticity (neural networks in the brain changing over time), to think more positively.
